About the Role:

The Applications Developer 1 role is a hands-on software engineering position designed for candidates starting their careers or with limited experience. You will join Oracle’s Product Development team to design, code, test, and troubleshoot software programs for commercial or end-user applications. The position provides the opportunity to develop scalable applications used by millions of Oracle customers worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze, design, develop, and debug software applications as per technical specifications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve application architecture and system design.
• Write clean, efficient code and conduct unit testing to ensure quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot bugs, perform debugging sessions, and implement software enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and test plans.

Key Technical Skills:

Java/Python, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Database, Software debugging, Testing frameworks, Application design, Problem-solving

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in software development or internship experience.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a global product-based environment.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, and speak).
• Must have legal authorization to work in India (visa sponsorship not available).
